Happy Birthday Noah!

This cake was really a challenge. The marshmallows I used for the fondant were a different brand than I normally use, which made the fondant much stiffer than normal. Add that to the fact that I tried a new buttercream recipe which was much softer than what I normally use and it was sweltering in my kitchen this month. I also was not so happy with the banana chocolate flovor combination for the top tier, but I wanted to make what my friend asked for. I was really puting this together at the very last second and in some spots the powedered sugar is still on the grass. However, the bottom tier tasted great and the rasberry filling (which I also made by hand for the first time) was great, so I heard. A learning experince, but one I hope I don't have to repeat again!

Top tier, banana cake with chocolate buttercream. Bottom tier, double chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and fresh raspberry filling.
